Yasha Legends of the Demon Blade Preview

Okay, this is going to be a wild ride. We’re going to cover a bunch of games that recently released previews! It can be hard to sift through all of the info, so I made this just for you!

Game Preview Roundup: Roguelikes, JRPGs, and Social Deduction – Oh My!

So, lately, a ton of cool game previews have dropped, giving us a sneak peek at what’s coming soon. From demon-slaying in feudal Japan to solving mysteries in a bizarre sci-fi world, there’s something for everyone. Forget spending hours searching the internet; this is your one-stop shop for the hottest upcoming titles.

Slaying Demons in Style: Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade

If you’re into roguelites (think games where you die a lot but get stronger each time) and Japanese mythology, Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade should be on your radar. Set in a twisted Edo period Japan, you’re tasked with hunting down the Nine Tails, a seriously gorgeous demon leader.

What makes this game stand out is its art style, a vibrant anime aesthetic that perfectly fits the setting. You get to play as three different characters, Shigure, Sara, and Taketoro, each with their own personality and fighting style. Shigure is my personal favorite, mostly because she tries to eat the demons she defeats. Talk about a power move!

Each character has a unique way of playing, so you need to adjust to fit. But expect to do a lot of runs!

The enemies in the demo are diverse, from crabs and weird duck creatures to human-like demons and ghosts. The boss fights are no joke, either, with unique attack patterns that’ll require you to actually think and adapt. I still haven’t figured out how to dodge the wave attack from the squid boss, but hey, that’s what makes it fun, right?

Yasha also has a skill leveling system similar to Hades. Collect coins and soul orbs to level up your abilities in the village, purchase blessings, beg the cats for gifts, or grab some grub at the Demon Festival. All this will help make you stronger!

Becoming the Ultimate Warrior: The First Berserker Khazan

If you prefer a game that kicks your butt every step of the way, The First Berserker Khazan is right up your alley. This action RPG throws you into brutal combat situations that demand skill and strategy. It’s not enough to just mash buttons; you need to master your weapons, skills, and armor to survive.

This game is hard, like, Dark Souls hard. You are going to die in a multitude of ways. But learning from each death will become your weapon. Each time you die, you get to learn what you did wrong and apply new strategies!

First Berserker Khazan offers a variety of weapons, but after spending 60+ hours with the game, I’ve found the Spear to be the most balanced and effective. It offers a mix of offense and defense, plus some awesome skills like Phantom Heatwave and Moonlight.

The most important thing is that you must focus on your stats!

When you level up, focus on Vitality and Willpower first. These two stats boost your health and attack power, which are essential for surviving those brutal battles. Don’t worry too much about stamina; you can always use consumables to work around that. Remember, it’s better to be able to take a hit and dish out damage than to have endless stamina but no health!

Learning how to break enemy stances is key. While you can simply drain their stamina, spear users can invest in Shadow Reversal and Shadow Reversal: Impact skills to deal massive stagger damage and create openings for attack.

First Berserker Khazan has one unique feature! Phantom Form!

You unlock the Phantom Form after defeating Maluca. Once your Phantom Meter is full, you can activate it to become invulnerable for a short time. Save this for emergencies, like boss fights where enemies unleash long combo chains. Think of it as a free “get out of jail” card!

Remember the key to surviving The First Berserker Khazan is strike, retreat and repeat. Don’t get greedy and chain combos nonstop; you’ll end up paying for it with your life. Be patient, attack when you have an opening, and retreat when you need to heal.

Solve the Mystery: Bionic Bay

Ever want to play as a scientists in a weird world? If so, then this game is for you. Bionic Bay seems to be inspired by LIMBO and INSIDE. You wander into this alien biomechancial world with puzzles.

The game opens with little explanation, and very little to do. But once you get the Elasticity, the world opens up more.

Teleportation opens up puzzles more!

The best thing the game has is the Physics. This can make puzzles tough! The biggest problem with the is the fact that the fall damage can be inconsistent!

Deceive or Be Deceived: Castle of Blackwater

If you were hooked on Among Us, then you will get dragged into this new world:

Castle of Blackwater takes the social deduction formula and adds a fantasy twist. Players are secretly divided into three factions.

The Rules

  • Protectors: The good guys trying to complete tasks.
  • Satanists: The bad guys trying to kill everyone.
  • Forgotten: Chaotic neutrals doing their own thing.

Each faction has characters with abilities, so it will never be the same. The dead also have things to do, as they can buy things that will help their living friends and hinder the other team.

The map is large and confusing, but you will get it eventually. You will need to check the Alter to see which tasks to do. These mini games are fun.

Creating New Legends: Solasta 2

Solasta 2 sticks to the formula. For new comers that means, explore the world, make some choices and hope that you are a hero and not a villain. You can also roll some dice in the game to determine the outcome!

The good thing is that the team knows what they are doing. This means that they didn’t veer off of what made the previous game so good!

If you liked playing a hero, you’ll be right at home! But if you wanted to be a villain. bad news…

Finding Your Way: Final Fantasy 4 Pixel Remaster Walkthrough

If you are confused on what to do next, don’t worry, you are not alone!

If you get lost, follow me:

Final Fantasy 4 Pixel Remaster Walkthrough – Castle Baron and Mist

Head to your room in the northwest tower.
Climb the tower and rest in your bed.
Head northwest, over the bridge and through the mountain valley until you find the entrance to Mist Cave.
Tip: To travel faster and avoid encounters, use the Chocobo Forest southwest of Castle Baron. White Chocobos restore your MP whereas Yellow Chocobos let you ride them!
At the end of the cave, the voice asks if you choose to ignore its warnings. Make sure you’ve healed up before selecting “YES”!
Head east and enter the town of Mist.

Mist Dragon Battle Tips

When the Mist Dragon turns into mist, DO NOT ATTACK! If you do, not only will it take no damage, but it will also counter with Cold Mist. Use this time instead to heal the party with potions or just wait it out.
Kain’s Jump is a great way to keep him out of harm’s way but avoid using it if the Mist Dragon hasn’t attacked recently. It might turn into mist before Kain lands!

Final Fantasy 4 Kaipo and the Underground Waterway Walkthrough

Exit the mountain valley and continue northeast until you find the oasis town, Kaipo.
Take out the three Soldiers and the General will flee.
If you’re looking for extra Gil and EXP, take out 2 of the Baron Soldiers, then the General, and finally the last soldier.
Head to the house in the northeast corner of town. Speak with Rosa resting in the bed.
Tip: I recommend stocking up on some Potions, Pheonix Downs and Tents before leaving.
Go north of Kaipo until you find the entrance to the Underground Waterway.
Follow the path west and speak with the old man blocking your path.
Continue through the Underground Waterway, eventually it will lead above ground again.
Go north to find the next cave’s entrance.
I highly recommend using a Tent here because there are no rest spots beyond this point.
Enter the cave and approach the waterfall.
At the bottom of the lake, you’ll find two orange tentacles sticking out of the water. Interact with them.
The Octomammoth is weak to Thunder spells.
Tip: The tentacles are also an indicator of its health. The fewer tentacles there are, the less HP he has.

Final Fantasy 4 Damcyan Castle and Antlion Cave Walkthrough

Head north to Damcyan Castle.
Once inside, go to the top-most floor of the Castle.
In your newly-acquired Hovercraft, head northeast and fly over the rocky watered path.
After returning to land, go south to find the entrance to the Antlion Cave.
Make sure Rydia and Edward are in the Back Row. This will make them less likely to be targeted in battle.
Go to the depths of the Antlion Cave.
Antlion counters all Attack actions with Counter Horn.
To avoid being countered, use Rydia’s Chocobo summon and have Edward either hide or heal while Cecil Attacks and (hopefully) takes most of the damage.
